Welcome to the Endless Artroom! My name is Amy O’Hara and this website features the work of my grade 6-8 students. This is my 11th year of teaching at Forrest Bird Charter School, and my third year as a TAB teacher. After years of teaching with a more traditional, discipline-based approach, I’ve transitioned my entire program to choice-based model.
Teaching for Artistic Behaviors (TAB) is an approach to teaching which places the child at the center of their artistic choices. Emphasis in the classroom is on learning and acquiring Studio Habits of Mind (SHoM) through the use of media specific centers.
Together, my students and I are learning that art is a process with endless possibilities….follow along!
