I’ve launched a new project with my co-teacher the amazing Holly Walker. We are teaching an art journaling class, which I would eventually like to offer here. Until I get that set up, here is a fun prompt if you want to follow along.
What I Collect: Collections reveal aspects of our personality that are sometimes hidden. They can be fun to explore and be a launching pad for other ideas.
I love picking up stick, seed pods, heart shaped rocks and others little bits of nature when I’m out on my walks. From there, I created this journal entry about what I collect. How about you?
In your art journal or on a separate page, document something you collect. You can collage, draw, paint…maybe a bit of all three. You could even approach this digitally. Include as much text as you like. I traced over a few things with pencil and then used my fine liner. Next I added some collaged bits and at the end, threw in some color.
